Tzu Chi Scholarship
Deadline: March 2, 2018
Criteria: Applicants must demonstrate financial need, be a U.S. high school graduating senior, have a minimum GPA of 3.00, and plan to enroll in an accredited U.S. college full-time for the 2018-2019 school year.
Description: This scholarship is funded by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation to recognize and provide financial assistance to outstanding college-bound high school graduates. Applicants are selected based on their financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement.
Amount: up to $4,000

UN Challenge
Deadline: March 3, 2019
Criteria: All high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. 
Description: Submit a 300-500 word statement that describes an innovative approach or idea you have for addressing one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

P.O. Pistilli Undergraduate Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2019
Criteria: Applicants must be high school seniors who are from an underrepresented group (African-American, Hispanic, Native American, women or disabled). Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have demonstrated high achievement in math and science courses and have financial need. Applicants must also intend to pursue a career in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science.
Description: The objective of the P.O. Pistilli Undergraduate Scholarship for Advancement in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering is to increase the pool of professionals in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science from under-represented groups.

CAA/ESA Youth Scholarship Program
Deadline: March 8, 2019
Criteria: Available to high school students who are children of active law enforcement duty and have excelled academically and are active in their community.
Description: Submit an essay about how his.or parent/guardian helps secure their community- the essay is judged on grammar and content and reinforces the important role that law enforcement and fire service personnel play in our community.
Amount: $1,500 to $25,000

CANERS Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: March 15, 2017
Criteria: Applicants must graduating high school seniors with at least a B average and submit an application with at least two letters of recommendation.
Description: This scholarship is given by the CANERS Foundation, Endowment for Research and Scholarship to students planning to major in Horticulture or Agribusiness related to Horticulture.
Amount: $2,500 and above

Italian Catholic Federation Scholarship
Deadline: March 15, 2019
Criteria: Students must achieve a total cumulative GPA (3½ years) of at least 3.2 and meet one of the following: 1) Are Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Illinois and Nevada, only where Branches of the Federation are established; or, 2) Are Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian Descent or live where Branches of the Federation are established if either Roman Catholic parent, guardian or grandparent is a member of the “Italian Catholic Federation.”

California Wine Grape Growers Foundation Scholarships
Deadline: March 24, 2017
Criteria: Must be a dependent of a vineyard employee and plan to attend a University of California, California State University or California community college.
Description: Selection is based upon financial need (which may be waived), demonstrated scholastic ability, community involvement and leadership and/or work history, and determination to succeed.
Amount: $2,000 to $8,000

Slavic American Cultural Organization Scholarships 2018-2019
Deadline: March 28, 2018
Criteria: Must be of slavic heritage (i.e. the former republics of Yugoslavia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, or Slovenia); must be a graduating Senior planning to attend an accredited university, college, junior college or technical school and must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

California Association of Collectors Scholarship
Deadline: March 30, 2017
Criteria: Available to any California high school senior for their use at any accredited college, university, or trade school.
Description: One-page application and essay on "The Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Financial Credit During Your College Years."

Gen Giammanco Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: March 31, 2018
Criteria: The student athletes that are eligible for assistance must be high school students who reside in Monterey or Santa Cruz County. Eligible students must continue their education and athletic career at a junior college, college or university. Funding of a Gen Giammanco Foundation (GGF) Award is contingent on the student athlete becoming a member of an NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or CCCAA collegiate athletic team. Consideration will also be given to the applicant's leadership, sportsmanship, community service, academic record and financial need.
Description: The mission of the Gen Giammanco Foundation is to provide financial support to student athletes to assist in their pursuit of both scholastic and athletic success at the collegiate level.
Amount: $500.00

Sigma Alpha of Omega Nu Scholarship
Deadline: March 29, 2019
Criteria: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.2, be a senior enrolled at a local high school, have a financial need, and plan to attend a public California State College or University.
Description: This scholarship program was established in 1957 to assist qualified students who are planning to attend a public California college or university. They are based on financial need and scholastic achievement. Students need a letter of recommendation and a short biography explaining any special circumstances the committee should be aware of.
Amount: $500 to $1,500, renewals permitted.

SJSU Alumni Scholarship - Santa Cruz Area Chapter
Deadline: March 29, 2019
Criteria: Available to students who plan to attend San Jose State in the Fall. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, be a graduating senior, show involvement in school and/or community, and have two letters of recommendation.
Description: SJSU would like to award students for staying local.
Amount: $500 to $2,000 one-time and renewable scholarships available
