May Scholarships

Criteria: Any high school junior or a senior student in the 2018-2019 school year may apply.
Description: The student must submit a 200 to 250-word essay or a brief 30-second video on the benefits of using digital personality assessment tools to understand a student’s own personality.  Possible benefits are improved communication skills, increased confidence, better self-esteem, more focused exam preparation, improved understanding and communication with parents, more effective job interview skills, improved team collaboration, enhanced career selection techniques and improved relationships with friends.  The student should download the Identimap App, take the assessment tool and submit a screenshot or PDF of their results with their submittal.

B.Davis Scholarship
Deadline: May 24,2019
Criteria: There is no age restriction. Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next. This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are.
Description: This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post-secondary institution.
Award: $1,000

2018 Alice B. Woolsey Scholarship
Deadline: Must be RECEIVED no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018
Criteria: Be a graduating senior who was a graduate of New Brighton Middle School; submit a completed scholarship application by Friday, May 25, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.; have accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college or paid upon confirmation of Community College registration before June 30, 2018.
Description: To support and further the education of students in our community, and through the gift of funds in loving memory of Alice B. Wolsey, former Soquel teacher, the district has established one scholarship of $500.00 to be awarded to a worthy high school graduating senior who was a graduate of New Brighton Middle School.

Insurance Professionals of Monterey Bay
Deadline: May 31, 2019
Criteria: Minimum GPA of 2.75, Have an official transcript sent from school to, Typed essay of 500 to 750 words
Description: Once again, we are offering a $1,500 scholarship to a high school senior in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara or Santa Cruz County who is planning to continue his/her education after high school.  Any student may apply for this scholarship, regardless of their gender or anticipated field of study.

Elita Hawley Scholarship
Deadline: May 1, 2020
Criteria: The Hawley Endowment Fund will accept applications from prospective AFS students who live in or attend high school in California.
