Auditions 2019-20 Concert Choir and Jazz Singers -May 13
Come and audition for our outstanding vocal department! Or if you’d like to learn about singing in an ensemble but have no prior experience, sign up for Mixed Chorus (Mens and Women’s Chorus) to get started. It’s a fantastic way to build musical skills and be part of an inclusive and fun community at Soquel, and all vocal classes meet A-G requirements! To receive an audition time, please sign up on Zina’s office door in Room 401 (music room) between now and lunch on Thursday May 9th. Audition times will be posted on Friday May 10th. Come back to 401 to check your audition times!

Senior Awards Night - May 29
Senior Awards Night will be Wednesday, May 29th at 6:30 PM in the MU Room. Senior Awards Night provides an opportunity to congratulate Soquel High seniors who are receiving awards and scholarships. To have individual scholarship and awards information included in the printed program for the Awards Night, each senior needs to notify Ms. Elizondo in the Counseling Office by Wednesday, May 15th.

AP Testing - May 13 through 17
AP Testing kicks off bright and early Monday morning with Government. Please report to your testing location at 7:45. Don't forget to bring several sharp #2 pencils. The full schedule and exam times/places can be found here.

Prom - May 17
Prom will be held on May 17th from 8-11 at Chaminade Resort and Spa. Students are required to take care of all outstanding debts, including Saturday School, detention, fines and fees to attend this event. Those students with outstanding debts, not paid by Prom, will not be able to attend. Seniors should check the Exclusion List with Mr. Quevedo. The Prom will be a safe and sober event. Tickets can be purchased in Ms. Dawson’s room at the following prices:
Single $55 ($45 with ASB sticker)
Double $95 ($75 with ASB sticker)
Triple $135 ($105 with ASB sticker)

Senior Panoramic Picture and Class Meeting - May 17
Students may purchase a copy of the picture that day or until May 22nd. Any student who violates the Dress or Behavior Code may be responsible for paying the cost for correction of the picture. During the Class Meeting, seniors will receive further information regarding the Prom and Graduation.

Seniors, Get Your Caps and Gowns! - May 17
All graduates must wear a cap and gown. Caps and gowns will be distributed May 17th, at lunch only in the 1st Quad. Those students who have never ordered cap and gown need to see Cheryl Walton in the Front Office as soon as possible. Keep in mind that Graduation gowns and caps are a unifying symbol of the school and are not to be decorated or written on in any way. Students who do not have a standard, undecorated cap and gown will not be allowed to participate in the Ceremony. Flower leis are acceptable.

Soquel High Music Spring Dinner & Concert - May 18
Come to this popular annual fundraiser to enjoy a delicious calamari and tri-tip dinner and the music of the award-winning Soquel High bands and choirs.  The event is on Saturday, May 18 from 6-9pm in the MPR.  Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for children and can be purchased online by clicking here or at the door.  Please bring a dessert to share.

Campus Cleanup - May 18
Please help us beautify the campus in preparation for our seniors’ graduation ceremony. We will be working from 9-12 on Saturday morning pulling weeds, picking up trash and doing general clean-up to make the campus look tidy for graduation day.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Cheerleading Tryouts - May 21-23
2nd round of Cheer tryouts are May 21-23 from 3:00-4:00 in the upper gym.

Spirit Week - May 20-22
May 20 - 'Merica Monday -- wear red, white, and blue
May 21 - Decades Day -- throwback apparel of your choosing, rock your flapper style or disco diva or grunge flannel, etc.
May 22 - Blue & Gold Day

Yearbooks - May 22
Yearbooks will be distributed to seniors starting May 22nd who have no debts, except current semester textbooks. Yearbooks may still be purchased for $85.00. Purchase them from Ms. Lambert in the Finance Office or order online at www.jostensyearbooks.com.

Attention 2019-20 Athletes! - May 30
Athletic Physicals for the 2019-20 school year will be Thursday, May 30. Seniors-5:30, Juniors-6:00, Sophomores and incoming Freshmen-6:30. $25 fee. Makes checks to Soquel High Fund.
