Course Scheduling for Sophomores - Jan 22-25
Sophomore Families - Counselors will be visiting Sophomore classrooms during the week of January 22-25, to discuss classes and take course requests for next year. Please ask your child about their Junior year course selections; if you have any questions or concerns, contact your child's counselor.

Pizza My Heart Fundraiser - Jan 23
Dine out at Pizza My Heart on 41st Ave. on January 23 from 1-9pm. Mention Soquel High, and the school will get a percentage of the profits to help fund Grad Night!

Soquel Music Meeting - Jan 24
There will be a SOMU meeting on Thursday, January 24th at 7pm in Room 401.

Save the Planet by Cleaning Out Your Garage! - Jan 25
Join the Model UN and Multicultural clubs' donation drive for Goodwill on January 25, 26, 27 from 10:00am to 4:00pm in the lower parking lot. Your donations will help keep nearly 70,000 tons from ending up in local landfills this year and reduce our carbon footprint. Join our Model UN and Multicultural clubs in doing Good(will) on January 25, 26, 27!

Spring Sports Tryout Information
All athletes MUST have a current physical exam AND registered on FamilyID.com for athletic paperwork in order to tryout.

  • Baseball - January 28-3:00 at the baseball field, daily
  • Softball - January 28-3:00 at the softball field, daily
  • Track - January 28-3:00 at the track, daily
  • Golf - January 28-3:00 at DeLaveaga Golf Course, Mon-Thur
  • Boys Tennis - January 28-3:00 at the tennis courts, Mon-Thur
  • Boys Volleyball - February 4-7:00 in the gym, early season schedule will vary due to basketball
  • Swim - January 28-time/location to be determined
  • Lacrosse - January 28-7:00 in the stadium, schedule will vary due to soccer

Youth Ambassador Scholarship - Feb 1
The Sister Cities Committee of Santa Cruz is offering a chance for a deserving student to travel abroad to Sestri Levante, Italy.  For more information and to apply for the Gralen Eidam Wilson Youth Ambassador Scholarship, click here.  Applications are due February 1st.

Winter Formal - Feb 1
Winter Formal is fast approaching! Tickets for the event are on sale during break and lunch in room 220. This week single bids are $50, double bids are $80 and triple bids are $100.

Formal Clothes Donations
Starting this week, students can come by room 220 to check out formal clothes that can be borrowed for the 2/1 Winter Formal. We have various dresses, coats, and other items. We also are happy to accept any donations that can be used for this purpose.

Senior Yearbook Ads Deadline - Feb 4
If you would like to have a baby ad in the yearbook, they are due February 4th. Please go to the Jostens website to request your ad.

Chipotle Fundraiser - Feb 5
Dine out at Chipotle on Feb 5, mention Soquel High, and the school will get 30% of the profits to help fund Grad Night!

Job Opportunities
The Boardwalk has “Instant Interviews”! What does that mean? If a student shows up to the Boardwalk HR Office anytime between 10am to 4pm Monday-Saturday, an interview will be given instantly/immediately/on-the-spot! Human Resources is located across the street from the Carousel ride.
