Spring Sports Tryout Information - Jan 28, Feb 4
All athletes MUST have a current physical exam AND registered on for athletic paperwork in order to tryout.

  • Baseball - January 28 at 3pm at the baseball field, daily
  • Softball - January 28 at 3pm at the softball field, daily
  • Track - January 28 at 3pm at the track, daily
  • Golf - January 28- at 3pm at DeLaveaga Golf Course, Mon-Thur
  • Boys Tennis - January 28 at 3pm at the tennis courts, Mon-Thur
  • Boys Volleyball - February 4 at 7pm in the gym, early season schedule will vary due to basketball
  • Swim - January 28-time/location to be determined
Lacrosse - Meeting for all athletes, male and female, who are interested in the Lacrosse team on Monday, 1/28, outside the weight room at 2:30pm


Grad Night Committee Meeting - Jan 31
There will be a Grad Night Committee meeting at Beer 30 on Thursday, January 31st at 6pm.

Volunteers Needed for Annual SHS Golf Tournament - Jan 31
Your help is needed for this year's 14th Annual SHS Golf Tournament, scheduled for Friday, May 10th at DelaVeaga Golf Course. There are many ways that you can support the tournament, including securing sponsors and donors, marketing, pre-tournament set up, helping with day-of activities, and the after-party BBQ. Come to the planning meeting this Thursday, 1/31 at 7pm at Nubo (New Bohemian Brew Co.). Questions, or if you can’t make it, contact Christie Donaldson 831.419.9898.

Youth Ambassador Scholarship - Feb 1
The Sister Cities Committee of Santa Cruz is offering a chance for a deserving student to travel abroad to Sestri Levante, Italy. For more information and to apply for the Gralen Eidam Wilson Youth Ambassador Scholarship, click here. Applications are due February 1st.

Winter Formal - Feb 1
The 2019 Soquel High School Winter Formal is being held at the Cocoanut Grove on February 1 from 8 to 11 PM. Ticket are on sale every day at break (except C days) and lunch in room 220. They start at $40 for a single bid, $70 for a double bid, and $90 for a triple bid. Prices increase each week leading up to Winter Formal.

Formal Clothes Donations
Students can come by room 220 to check out formal clothes that can be borrowed for the 2/1 Winter Formal. We have various dresses, coats, and other items. We also are happy to accept any donations that can be used for this purpose.

Senior Yearbook Ads Deadline - Feb 4
If you would like to have a baby ad in the yearbook, they are due February 4th. Please go to the Jostens website to request your ad.

Chipotle Fundraiser - Feb 5
Dine out at Chipotle on Feb 5, and the school will get 30% of the profits to help fund Grad Night! Don't forget to mention Soquel High.

Job Opportunities
The Boardwalk has “Instant Interviews”! What does that mean? If a student shows up to the Boardwalk HR Office anytime between 10am to 4pm Monday-Saturday, an interview will be given instantly/immediately/on-the-spot! Human Resources is located across the street from the Carousel ride.
