Soquel Track Team Fundraiser - Apr 24
Surf City Sandwiches is hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, April 24th between 3-8pm. 20% of all proceeds will be donated to Soquel High Track!

Teen Job Fair - Apr 25
The Santa Cruz Teen Center is hosting a job fair on Wednesday, April 25th from 2:30 to 4:30 at Louden Nelson Community Center, Room 3. Employers present include: City of Santa Cruz, The Mystery Spot, Santa Cruz Warriors, The Glass Jar Company (The Picnic Basket, Assembly, Penny Ice Creamery), Seaside Company, Whitings Foods, Starbucks and the Youth Decoy Program. There will be paper applications and links for online applications to many other businesses in Santa Cruz who hire teens as well! There are also volunteer opportunities available for teens 13+. Teens can earn raffle tickets by visiting employer booths or participating in Mock Interviews or completing applications. The raffle will happen towards the end of the event. Must be present to win. Attention All Students Taking AP Tests in May
Prior to the testing window you must complete the AP preadministration process! Mr. Kendall will be in room 205 all day and after school on Monday, April 23. If you have an open period, report to room 205 to complete the preadministration process. If you don't have an open period, come by after school. And if you're absent on Monday the 23rd, Mr. Kendall will be in room 205 again on Tuesday, the 24th, after school only. Again, you must complete the preadministration process before you can take any AP tests.

Spring Musical - Apr 27
The Soquel High Knights of the Square Stage are proud to announce their spring musical: Little Shop of Horrors. Performances are April 27 at 7:30pm, April 28, May 3, May 4, and May 5 at 7pm. All shows are in the Soquel High School MPR.

Little Shop of Horrors is a comedic rock musical about a lonely florist who discovers a plant the feeds on human blood. The plant promises to make our hero’s dreams come true, but at what cost? Blending sixties doo-wop with eighties synth, this rock musical is a true crowdpleaser!

Attention Future Auto Mechanics!
Students interested in becoming a licensed auto mechanic in high school have the opportunity to take a course in Engine and Light Repair. The course is taught everyday at Santa Cruz High, period 1. There is great opportunity for job placement! If interested, speak to your counselor.

Grad Night Fundraiser - Apr 29
Please join us on Sunday, April 29th from 4-7pm for a fundraiser at Beer Thirty in Soquel. A delicious dinner from Aptos BBQ will be provided, including chicken, pulled pork, tri tip, beans, potato salad, green salad, a fresh-baked roll and one beverage of beer, cider or soda. There will also be a raffle and silent auction. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased here, using PayPal, or by contacting Laura at

Music Day Celebration - May 12
Smith Renaissance Society at the University of California, Santa Cruz invites the youth of the Soquel High School to attend their annual Music Day celebration! This event is specific for high school and middle school aged youth from adverse backgrounds, encouraging them to seek higher education! Smith Renaissance Society is a group of students who are familiar with the difficulties of coming from a disadvantaged background where support is limited and who would love to reach out and act as a resource for other adverse youth in areas near UCSC. Cap/Gown Delivery - May 17
Seniors/Grads- Cap/Gown/Tassel pick up will be Thursday, May 17. If you have not ordered your cap/gown yet you may stop by and see the Jostens Rep on Tues. May 1st during lunch at the tables in front of the Front Office.

Senior with Scholarships
Seniors - If you have received a scholarship, please let Ana Martinez, in the Counseling Office, know by May 18th, so that she may include it in the Senior Awards Night program. Don't forget, Senior Awards Night is Wednesday, May 30th in the MPR from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
