Closed Campus @ Break
SHS is a closed campus at break. If students go off campus during break, parents will be notified and brunch privileges will be revoked, meaning students will spend brunch in the office.

Club Day - Sep 10
Hey Students, come learn about all of the clubs SHS has to offer! Club Day will be on Monday, September 10th during Lunch in first quad. Food will be available for purchase.

College Representative Visits - Sep 10 and 11
Attention Juniors and Seniors! College reps will be visiting SHS beginning this month. If you are interested in attending any of the presentations below, please email Ms.Martinez, Counselor, at or Viviana, the Counseling Secretary at

  • Portland State University - Sep 10th after school in the Library Conference Room
  • UC San Diego - Sep 11th after school in the Library Conference Room

ELAC Meeting - Sep 11
ELAC (English Learners Advisory Committee) is a group made up of parents and staff whose main purpose is to provide support for LEP (Limited English Proficiency) students and their parents. This support includes providing parents and students with information about grades, attendance, standardized tests and computer training sessions on using the Parent Portal. Parents are invited to join the first ELAC meeting of the year, which will be held on Tuesday, September 11th in the SHS Library at 6pm. For more information about ELAC, click here.

Soquel High Fund Meeting - Sep 12
Parents, please join the SHF officers, Principal Atlansky and our amazing student representative to kick off our first monthly meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 12th at 7pm in the SHS Library.

The benefits of receiving free/reduced lunch extend way beyond the cafeteria. Please read below and consider filling out the attached lunch application. If you qualify, our school could receive substantial funding to support teachers and programs for students, and you could be eligible for the following: FREE college applications, FREE SAT Test, FREE ACT, reduced AP Exam fees, FREE meals.

Friday, Sep 21 - Last day to add a new course to your schedule
Friday, Sep 28 - Last day to drop a course without having it appear on your transcript; a “Withdrawal” will be issued for any dropped courses after this date
Friday, Nov 9 - a “Withdrawal Failure” will be issued for any dropped classes after this date
