Parking Permits
All students parking in the student parking lot MUST have a parking permit by September 30th. All parents of 10th-12th graders have been issued an application form in their Illuminate Parent Portal. If your student plans on using the parking lot, please complete and submit the form in the portal. If your student does not drive to school, you may ignore the portal form.

Seniors! Grad Night Tickets on Sale Now!
This year, Seniors have the opportunity to earn their Grad Night ticket through Drive for School Tickets sales. Grad Night tickets are $150, but parents can purchase 6 packs of DFS tickets (equivalent to 36 chances to win a car or cash!), and Grad Night is paid for! Tickets will be available on Back to School Night (October 2nd) between 5-6pm or by emailing Jenni at jdeeter@pacbell.net.

School Picture Make-Ups - Sep 24
All students who did not get their photos taken for ID cards need to have their picture taken on September 24th. This includes seniors who did not get their photos taken on schedule pick-up day. This is NOT the same as senior portraits for the yearbook (see below).

Senior Portrait Retakes and Make-Ups - Sep 26, 27
Seniors who did not have their Senior photo taken for the yearbook on Aug 17th or 18th, or who would like retakes, will have the opportunity on Thursday and Friday, September 26th and 27th.

Community Coffee with the Principal - Sep 27
Parents are cordially invited to attend the first in a series of "Community Coffee" events hosted by Principal O'Meara on Friday, September 27 from 8:45-9:45 am in the Gym. This first event will focus on student safety. Members of Soquel HS Administration, as well as the School Resource Officer will be on hand to provide information, and answer questions. We hope to see you there!

Back to School Night - Oct 2
Parents/guardians, please join us for Back to School Night on Wednesday, October 2nd. The evening will begin at 5:00 with a delicious meal provided by the ELAC group ($5 or $10 per plate). Afterward, you will have the opportunity to visit each of your student’s classrooms to meet their teachers and learn about the curriculum. Additionally, the library will be open for you to sign up for an Illuminate parent portal account (to view grades, assignments, attendance, etc.), to meet school counselors, and to sign your student up for the PSAT. We hope to see you there!

School Site Council Elections
The 2019-2020 Soquel High School Site Council needs up to 3 parent representatives. The School Site Council is an excellent forum for parental involvement, and provides parents an opportunity to give input to our annual Plan for Student Achievement. The site council also provides required input on the annual Comprehensive School Safety Plan. Parent Representative Elections for School Site Council will be held at our Annual Back to School Night on Oct. 2. The first School Site Council meeting will be held on Wednesday October 16 @ 4:00 pm. Any interested parents may email Principal Greg O'Meara directly at gomeara@sccs.net (Please provide a brief introduction and statement of interest for serving on the Site Council)

Homecoming is on October 11th!
The Homecoming Committee is in need of 5 convertibles for the afternoon and evening parade, dance chaperones from 9:30pm-12am, and snacks and water for the dance. Any donations are welcome whether it be money, food, water, or decorations for the floats. If you can volunteer or donate, please contact Ms. Dawson at ldawson@sccs.net

The afternoon parade at 1:25pm will go through the Soquel Village starting at Daubenbiss Ave. turning right onto Soquel Drive then turning right onto Porter St. and finally turning right onto Walnut St before ending back on Daubenbiss. Expect traffic delays from 1:00-3:00. The football game and night parade will be that night at 7:30 at the Soquel High Stadium. Hope to see you there! Go Knights!
