Drive for Schools is On!
Tickets are now on sale! This year, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Capitola Auto Mall Dealer Group are giving away a brand new Toyota Prius C or Subaru Crosstrek or $25,000 cash, as well as ten $1,000 cash prizes, and over 100 additional prizes! This is the easiest fundraiser around because your student’s classroom/team/group gets to keep all the money from ticket sales, not just a portion! Tickets will be available to purchase at Back to School Night; if your student would like to help sell them or if you would like to raise funds for a Soquel High team or group, please email or

Soquel Music Heritage Festival
Each year, the talented Soquel Music department competes in Worldstrides Heritage Festival. This year, the competition will be in Anaheim at Disneyland. Please help students earn money for this trip by purchasing Drive For Schools tickets. Students who are usually unable to go due to the $500 cost, have a great opportunity to earn their way this year, and could really use your help. Also, parents of Band students can pay for this trip in its entirety by purchasing 20 packs of Drive For Schools tickets! Tickets will be sold at Back to School Night on Sep 26th from 5-6pm.

Grad Night Tickets
This year, Seniors have the opportunity to earn their Grad Night ticket through Drive for School Tickets sales. Grad Night tickets are $150, but parents can purchase 6 packs of DFS tickets (equivalent to 120 chances to win a car or cash!), and Grad Night is paid for! Tickets will be available on Back to School Night (Sep 26th) between 5-6pm or by emailing

Parking Permits
All students parking in the student parking lot MUST have a parking permit. All parents of 10th-12th graders have been issued an application form in their Illuminate Parent Portal. If your student plans on using the parking lot, please complete and submit the form in the portal. If your student does not drive to school, you may ignore the portal form.

Junior Counselor Meetings
Juniors are now meeting with their counselors to select their Senior year classes. Please refer to the letter that was sent by mail for your student’s appointment date and time. Parents are encouraged to attend the appointments. Questions? Contact the Counseling Secretary at or 429-3909, ext. 132.

PSAT - Oct 10
All Juniors are automatically signed up to take the PSAT free of charge, on Wednesday, October 10th, 8am-12pm. 50 extra tests are available to Sophomores on a first-come-first-served basis, and can be purchased for $20 at Back to School Night on September 26th, or in the Finance Office beginning September 27th.

Homecoming is on October 12th!
The Homecoming Committee is in need of 5 convertibles for the afternoon and evening parade, dance chaperones from 9:30pm-12am, and snacks and water for the dance. Any donations are welcome whether it be money, food, water, or decorations for the floats. If you can volunteer or donate, please contact Ms. Dawson at

The afternoon parade at 1:25pm will go through the Soquel Village starting at Daubenbiss Ave. turning right onto Soquel Drive then turning right onto Porter St. and finally turning right onto Walnut St before ending back on Daubenbiss. Expect traffic delays from 1:00-3:00. The football game and night parade will be that night at 7:30 at the Soquel High Stadium. Hope to see you there! Go Knights!
