School Site Council Elections
The 2019-2020 Soquel High School Site Council needs up to 3 parent representatives. The School Site Council is an excellent forum for parental involvement, and provides parents an opportunity to give input to our annual Plan for Student Achievement. The site council also provides required input on the annual Comprehensive School Safety Plan. Parent Representative Elections for School Site Council will be held at our Annual Back to School Night on Oct. 2. The first School Site Council meeting will be held on Wednesday October 16 @ 4:00 pm. Any interested parents may email Principal Greg O'Meara directly at gomeara@sccs.net (Please provide a brief introduction and statement of interest for serving on the Site Council)

AP Test Sign-Ups - Oct 4
The deadline to sign up for AP exams if Friday, October 4th. Students may sign up for exams in their AP classes, or in the Counseling office. Payment for exams will be taken October 7 to November 1, in the Counseling office (room 101) or the Finance office (room 507).

Idle Free Campus
Santa Cruz City Schools has partnered with the City of Santa Cruz to establish our school sites as idle free campuses, recognizing that vehicle exhaust creates serious public health and environmental problems. Idling your engine degrades our air quality, so please remember to turn off your cars when parked. Thank you to our entire Soquel High community for participating in this campaign to improve the environment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Homecoming Needs - Oct 11
The Homecoming Committee is in need of 2 more convertibles for the afternoon and evening parade, dance chaperones from 9:30pm-12am, and snacks and water for the dance. Any donations are welcome whether it be money, food, water, or decorations for the floats. If you can volunteer or donate, please contact Ms. Dawson at ldawson@sccs.net

Homecoming Parking
Parking for the Homecoming game can be stressful, so reserve your parking space now to get in and out quickly. Quick Escape parking can be purchased by clicking here.

Sheriff's Office Youth Academy
Applications for the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office Youth Academy are in the counseling office. The class starts on 10/16/2019.
