AP Exam Fees Due by November 1
Viviana is set up and ready to start accepting payment for AP exams. During construction, Viviana can be found in room 101 or 107. Fees must be paid by Friday, November 1st. Fees are as follows:
$94/exam - Standard
$53/exam - Free and Reduced Lunch
$20/exam - SHS Scholarship (see Mr. Kendall or Viviana)

10/14 at 2:10 PM - University of Miami
10/15 at 2:35 PM - Carroll College Montana
10/16 at 2:35 PM - Beacon College
10/17 at 2:35 PM - Binghamton University - SUNY

Scholarships for Seniors!
Hey Class of 2020, would you like to be nominated for scholarships? Please be sure to complete the Senior Scholarship Profile. The scholarship committee starts meeting later this month, and wants to give away money, but they we need student profiles! Click here to fill out the Profile Form.

Interested in a Career in Law Enforcement?
The Sheriff's Office Youth Academy is starting Wednesday, October 16th and will include 6 sessions. Presenters include Detectives, Patrol, CSI, and the Coroner, and there will be demos by SWAT, the Drone team, and the K9 team. There will also be guided tours of Superior Court, the Main Jail, and Dispatch. See Cheryl or Viviana for an application.

PSAT for All Juniors - Oct 16
The PSAT is offered free of charge to all 11th graders on Wednesday, October 16, 8 AM - Noon, and is a great practice test for the SAT! Even students who are unsure of their post-high school plans are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this free opportunity!

Soquel High Fund Meeting - Oct 16
All parents welcome! Please join SHF members, Principal O'Meara and our student body representative at the monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 16th at 7pm in room 312. No volunteer commitment is required. This is just a great opportunity to meet the principal in a small group environment and learn what is happening at your student’s school.

School Site Council - Oct 16
Any parent interested in serving on the 2019-2020 School Site Council, please contact Principal Greg O'Meara (gomeara@sccs.net). The SHS School Site Council is a representative group of teachers, classified staff, administration, and student voice. Our collective work includes giving valuable input on our overall student achievement plans, as well as our comprehensive school safety plan. Our first Site Council meeting is Wednesday October 16, 2019 @ 4:00 - 5:00 (Room 312)

Last Chance to Get Your Drive for Schools Tickets!
This is the last week to grab a chance to win a new car, $25,000 cash or hundreds of other prizes. This is a great way for Seniors to fund their Grad Night event, teams to cover their donate-to-play requests, Band/Choir to fund their Heritage Festival trip, or any classroom to raise funds for field trips or supplies. Grad Night Tickets on Sale - Oct 17
Grad Night tickets will be sold on Thursday, October 17th in the quad during break. Tickets are $150 each, and may be purchased with cash, check or credit card. You can still get Drive For School tickets with the purchase of your Grad Night ticket, but only for 1 more week!

SOMU Meeting - Oct 17
There will be a Soquel Music meeting on Thursday, October 17th, 7-8pm in room 401.

SOMU Mattress Sale Fundraiser - Oct 19
Soquel Music is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, October 19th from 10am-5pm in the Soquel High gym. If you are in need of a new mattress, come check out the sale and great discount pricing!

Community Coffee Forum - Oct 25
The next Community Coffee Forum w/ Principal is scheduled for Friday October 25, 2019 8:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Focus: Resources for Struggling Students. Please join us to find out more about various ways students can find assistance with Academics, and social emotional well being.
